So 1.0 Get the ring, 2.0 Don't? That's how we know?

Other way around. If you didn't get one of those starter rings, you got the legacy intro story-line. If you got a ring, you got the "new player" story-line.
Just to add onto this, I fought Nael (multiple times ugh) but never actually won the fight. I got the legacy intro (no ring for me).

Eh, the way I remember SE describing it, it seemed to be something all 1.0 chars would get, just by virtue of being 1.0 chars.Other way around. If you didn't get one of those starter rings, you got the legacy intro story-line. If you got a ring, you got the "new player" story-line.

Damn it, they screwed me over... Never fought Nael, but from what I remember of the live letters, and other letters, and general talk the only requirement was being a 1.0 player... I really pray they fix this, so I can at least see the appropriate stuff in my Journal in inn room.Other way around. If you didn't get one of those starter rings, you got the legacy intro story-line.
