whine muchI really hate this restriction for a huuuuuuuuge list of reasons. If it's not temporary, I'm going to be quite pissy. I do NOT want my characters tied to my forum name. I don't want everyone and their grandmother to see what character I'm linked to so they can harass me in and out of game. I also almost exclusively roleplay and being forced to advertise my character everywhere on the forum gets on my nerves. I'm apparently going to have to make a trash character just to hold the 'main' slot on my forum account. And of course I won't be playing that trash character, so I will never be able to have full use of the forums for a game I dropped 80 bucks on for pre-order and will be subscribing to. Way to go, SE.
I've been doing my best to keep rational through all of the issues I've experienced (over all lack of communication, 3102, EA code debacle etc) but now it's nigh impossible for me to communicate socially on the official forums regarding a service I'm paying for. Does anyone know what fan forums will be more active/reliable?
People paying the same amount for the same product should have the same restrictions (or lack thereof). This model only breeds and promotes elitist snobbery. You are not better than anyone simply for having a level 50 character and that certainly doesn't exclude you from being an asshat on the forums.
can't see the bad thing about your main char being tied to your forum account
if you're so paranoid maybe being online isn't really a thing for you at all.
