PS3 to PS4 upgrade?

Would be great if they did that, but if they did, it would probably only apply to the PS3 Standard edition, and not the Collector's Edition. If they release a PS4 Collector's Edition, I would probably end up getting it as well, seeing as I have the 1.0 CE and the PS3 2.0 CE. I just hope that with the release of the PS4 being in November they won't wait until May-August to release the PS4 version... I would hope to see the XIV:ARR PS4 Edition coming out sometime nearer February-March, although that gives very little time for mastery of Lightning Returns... lol...

It's all speculation, but I feel pretty confident that as PS3 players, we will need to buy a complete new copy of the game for use on PS4. Be that as it may seem, SE said that they 'will try' to make the transition from PS3 to PS4 as "smoothly as possible."
I wouldn't trouble yourself over far-fetched matters though; we've still got a while until it comes out on PS4.

We have less than 90 days until the PS4's release.... Hopefully less than 180 days until the PS4 acquires ARR...
