Now what nonsense is this?
lol.
I mean, you had an actual point before, but now you're just starting to sound like a normal ff fan.
As opposed to a fan of this MMO fodder nonsense?
Uh...yeah.
Here are more jobs that I don't give two ****s about no matter how hard you pitch them for a FF.
Clairevoyant
Shapeshifter
Riftwalker
Guy with an axe number 2
Braveheart
Aeronaut
Sales Account Payable Clerk
Daoist
"Because context is irrelevant."
And since we all know, FF is all about medieval swords and sorcery, so the traditional classes fit in every game.
I can't really think of a more generic class than XI's White Mage. Wields clubs, the "holy" theme with churches and crap, you could have taken it straight from D&D class-set and nothing would have changed. It's so generic someone from the 70's could have easily identified it.

Peregrine, get an imagination.
Get another series. Your generic MMO ideas didn't work when this game nosedived into the ground. FF jobs work because they're archetypes. None of that **** in the file is archetypal. It's just pure generic blather.
I'm sure some no name piece of crap MMO will let you be a bloodletter. HOW COOL.

ITT: Archetypes are not generic. More at 11.
If only FF had not blatantly copied every single "archetype" class from D&D, maybe they wouldn't be so damn generic. Warrior? Thief? Black Mage? Holy shit. It's like I went 25 years back in time.

Well as if some of the old classes didnt' sound generic.. I mean.. Thief.. :/
Oh and it's "kai-neh", not "kain".. and it is feminine.. u.u
Pathetic...
@OP, i agree more Whips for the kittehs!
I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...
Archetypes aren't generic when they have 20 years of history behind them.
Flayer, are you kidding me? 16 year olds just want to see cats with whips.
Go play on Google Image.
When Monk walks onto the field, I really have no interest in a pugilist here. Sorry.
