Not being able to buy single items from a stack on the marketward.

Being able to just buy one from a stack would be dumb. If you only need one go gather/farm it. You are not required to buy mats from the market. Man people are lazy. This would make gathering worthless to the economy. I always sell stacks for a cheaper single unit price. No one would do that if you could just buy 1 from my stack. This is a terrible idea.

You seem to think you can gather/farm all crafting materials. Most recipes require mats from other crafts not just gathered materials. So if you want to craft a level 40 recipe it may also require several mats crafted by other level 40 DoHs. Now your choice is to buy an entire stack of those mats from the markets and then try and resell the unused leftovers after you finish crafting the item you wanted to make or level those other DoH to the level needed to craft all the required mats yourself. Say you wanted to make a level 40 robe but it requires a level 36 ingot and a level 33 piece of leather you can't gather those and if you don't also have those other crafts leveled you can't make them so you have to buy them from the market. Now the individual price for those items might be 5k each but since there are only stacks of 99 for sale at the market when you want to craft that item it won't cost you 10,000 gil to craft it but rather 990,000 gil. Or you could just camp the markets for a few days until somebody puts up smaller stacks of those items....if they ever do that is. You can always level all crafts at the same rate which is what I intend to do but many people may not want to level every DoH at the same time.

Im sorry I thought we were able to level all of the crafts. I was unaware we were only able to level 1 of them.

So, if someone doesn't want to buys a stack of 57 shark oil, you recommend he level FSH to 50 and ALC to 40, then fish for 30 mins?

The system used in later stages of V1 was far more intuitive. You could sell large volumes at a discounted rate, but rather than using up 10 retainer slots to sell 10 items, you could use 1. I understand both systems and the pros/cons to each, but I feel the former system is better due to the advantage in flexibility it adds to the market for both buyers/sellers.

There is nothing in this new system you couldn't do in the older one.
