Either credit card or game time card sold by select retailers. Same subscription otherwise as PC version, same cost. The game time cards are cross platform and each print will feature exclusive art for collectibility (Not sure if the art is exclusive or not to JP cards). where are you going to see these permanent options?

the account management page i go to no longer shows any options but when i registered my preorder for pc it listed all my permanent options and had a confirmation prompt to add mog hat and cait sith doll
same thing when i linked ps3 to my account

how do you link your ps3 to your account , i got the ps3 pre-order i got the code i instaled the game , but no were i encounterd anything to link anything

Then click Select Service, click Final Fantasy XIV and it will take you to this screen in this picture ( http://i.imgur.com/t6UnDeB.png ). Legacy status is denoted by the icon I have circled. And to check if you have early access on PS3, just log in to the PS3 launcher. If it does not give you an error other than asking you to wait for early access/release, you're in.

PS3 pre-order code is linked to your PSN account. Open up the game on PS3 and log in to the FFXIV service account you want to link your PSN to. It should then prompt you to link up.

Ouch. Can't help you with that, I have zero experience with multiple service accounts. When you attempt to log in to your account with the PS3 version of the game, it should ask you which one of those accounts you want to link up to.

I can confirm this. I'm 1.0 non-legacy player. Registered the PS3 pre-order code and the PS3 version is installed and updating. But the PC version wont update and says

No valid or active service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Proper registration through the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station is required.

I am legacy as well and the pc is all set up and rdy to go. I bought the game off psn and I get the same message on it. No active service for this account.

My own personal theory is that the Early Access is just a flag on your entire service account, no matter PC or PS3.

I wish this were true, it's the impression I was under as well. Sadly, I pre ordered the PS3 version for the goodies of course, and the EA. I'm a non-legacy 1.0. I much prefer to play on my pc, unless I'm just gathering/crafting. After downloading the PS3 client, linking my account and everything, my PS3 is ready to go, but when I log on the PC is says I don't have a valid service account. So at least for early access, you can only play on the platform you registered the early access code for. After early access you'll be able to use either client as long as you have a key for both systems registered on your square management account.

Jus wanna confirm what the OP said, i just logged into my ps3 game and it showed me my service accounts, as i was a v1.0 non legacy player it did show Final fantasy XIV a realm reborn Windows(r) was tied to that service account and i am now updating my ps3 copy, but when i log into my pc version it says no valid service account. So it would appear that early access codes are indeed platform specific untill the end of EA, Id imagine once its officially released, those of us with ps3 linked accounts to pc accounts we will be able to log on either platform. it must just be for early access.
