I brought out this issue because I don't want someone to think if they just register for the ps3 EA they can play on both. We all know the ps3 graphics are much lower the pc graphics and it really should only be used if your pc can't play the game or you want no lag. I know many users will want to register for ps3 while just play on pc, and for legacy users it doesn't really matter because they can register on pc anyway. But I just don't want someone to register on ps3 and then regret it.
I'm getting this message after the update of the launcher, So i need to pre-order to get early access.... I have a legacy accountthat's not fair
No valid or active service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Proper registration through the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station is required.
* Users participating in early access must also complete registration by August 30, 2013. Using the code enclosed with your package, please complete registration through the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station.

You can't check to your permanent option at the moment. You can check to see if you legacy buy going to secure.square-enix.com go to services go to final fantasy xiv and look to see if you the legacy icon on one of your service accounts.
The free trial does not start on EA. It starts the moment the game goes live for non 1.0 players. And starts after the welcome back campaign for 1.0 players. Also if you are from 1.0, you must preorder the ps3 to get 30 days free for your existing service account. They won't give you 30 free for you 1.0 account just because you have the pc version.
I am sure they will fix the legacy issue before EA so just hang tight. You were told you will get EA and you will get it before EA.I'm getting this message after the update of the launcher, So i need to pre-order to get early access.... I have a legacy accountthat's not fair

Welp, I can refute or support this claim come EA. I preordered PS3, but applied the code to my PC service since I main on PC. If I can't log in via PS3 on Sat morning, we'll know OP is correct. Otherwise, it's all just conjecture w/o proof. My own personal theory is that the Early Access is just a flag on your entire service account, no matter PC or PS3.
Thanks that's a relief![]()
Log in to the old system here: https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...n?cont=account
Then click Select Service, click Final Fantasy XIV and it will take you to this screen in this picture ( http://i.imgur.com/t6UnDeB.png ). Legacy status is denoted by the icon I have circled. And to check if you have early access on PS3, just log in to the PS3 launcher. If it does not give you an error other than asking you to wait for early access/release, you're in.
I'm not a 1.0 player, started playing on ps3 since beta. I'm wondering because I probably wont be able to use my credit card this weekend that the early access starts and I don't want to miss it, so I'm wondering if the EA will start then. The free trial does not start on EA. Also does anyone know how the payment options for the monthly fee will work for ps3?
I would love to test this out but SE sent me a EU code for my NA PS3.....
