    You just need to have the code from the ps3 version of the game and the code from the pc version of the game and you can play the game on both systems. Yet your are unable to play the same main account on the main account at the same time, if make 2 different psn accounts and/or pc accounts and/or square accounts then you can duel box or what ever, they want the money. It how people have been trio boxes on the ps2,xbox,and pc at same time on ff11. And this version of the game is to fast to duel boxes anyways so there going take the month fees. Square would be stupid not to.

    I was getting that same thing on my pc client even though I thought I already had the ps3 one linked to my account since I linked it in phase 4. But after going back to my ps3 today and updating the client it asked me to link it again for official service. As soon as I did that I switched back to my pc and launched it and it went straight to the patch download and now just says please wait until early access.

    As a 1.0 non legacy I am set up on ps3 and pc for early access. FYI I used my preorder early access code on ps3 not pc since I already had the pc version.

    I'm a Legacy Member and I was able to patch up the game well on my PC but on PS3 I get an error when use my Legacy Account. PS3 says: No valid or active service account is available to play FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.

    So means I need to buy the PS3 Version to be able to play on both platforms?

    Good question. All we were promised that if we used the early access code and where from 1.0, we would be able to play on any console. No legacy member was explicitly given a ps3 code for early access so giving them access to play on the ps3 version without giving them the ps3 version probably will make the devs to have to give our more codes to every legacy player. That is probably a big hassle especially this late so they probably won't do that. The pc version on the other hand is relatively easy to find, and posted in numerous places.

    So yes you need to buy the ps3 version to get early access. I recommend the psn version since it is instant download and you still get preorder items...

    It was stated in a previous clarification to this issue that in order to play on both PC and PS3 you would need to buy the game for both platforms. Now here's the tricky part.

    IF you are a 1.0 member (you're already eligible for the PC version) now, I know quite a few that has pre-ordered the new game too on top of their original 1.0 account, what I think is going down is that:
    - Should you have 2 accounts (an 1.0 and an ARR) you get to use both PC and PS3 version during Early Access instead of just the ARR version (provided you register it for PS3?).

    Whether I'd count on the above.. Not a chance, it's just how I read their statement.. Honestly, it's confusing me the more I think about it..

    Hi all, has it been confirmed whether or not someone with two service accounts under the same master ID that BOTH HAVE ACCESS TO PS3 will be allowed to choose either 1 or 2 to log on like it is on PC?
    No, you'll be banned for trying this , kthxbai. I'm kidding - of course you can select whichever Service Account you want to use provided that you've of course linked the product-key to that account .

    Update: Just bought the PS3 Collectors Edition, registered the early access code I got by email and I was able to patch the PS3 version too. So now I can use both platforms.

    Do I have to re-download the client after I put my 12 digit early access code in? From what I've read it's the same client, I just need to update or log in to the phase 4 client after I put the early access code in and it links it up.

    Is this correct? Because I really don't want to re-download the client again if there is no reason to.

    I have same issue I didnt read this before redeeming codes so I picked laptop and not PS3 but I have both and clients on both ~_~; wish I would of picked PS3 so I could of played on both

    Edit: by doing this did I just bone myself out of my preorder items? I swear SE makes stuff way to confusing ~_~;

    1.0 account holder, bought PS3 CE and registered successfully for early access, linked accounts, but my PC account still gives the message that I don't have an active service account. PS3 side shows the 'wait for early access or official service start'. Is there a particular time when accounts in this situation will be updated so we can play on PC and should just wait, or do I need to contact support to get my account looked into?

    Yes the client is the same. Don't uninstall if you don't want to.

    So I am assuming you don't have access to the ps3 version? I guess that makes sense because how can they give you access to a client you are not supposed to have (I know you have it from beta but I assume they are thinking in general. If someone without the ps3 client asks for a pc code, why would they give that person access to the ps3 version if he has no ability to get access to the ps3 client.)

    Also no you still get your items. The moment you put the pc early access, the preorder items got bound to your service account.

    You shouldn't have access to the game with your 1.0 account if you haven't registered your early access on it. The only exception is if you are legacy. You can, however, use your early access code on any service account, and can even make a new service account for early access. And I guess you can technically have two service accounts with access to game at launch. But the early access code will only work till August 30 so only for 3 days...

    I would just wait. I have a read someone who had the same issue but it fixed about 30 min after he posted it. So I am assuming that they are working on it to get everyone with 1.0 account that got the ps3 version access to the pc version.
