It's not just providing translations..it's having full time reps like we see with the EN, FR, DE and JP marketing. They'd need to employ persons who could read Portuguese forums and respond to the fans' questions, and provide news, and also do community events like what we saw as far as the international media tour Yoshida took to San Francisco and London.

This is why I said the closest you'd get as far as localization would be a Spanish version.

Another interesting thought is which office would do the localization. EU? NA? I'm not too too familiar with Portuguese (though when I hear people speaking it I understand about 80% of it due to being fluent in Spanish >_>), but aren't there some differences in Brazilian vs European, that's moreso than say, American vs British English?

Ontopic: I would like to see more languages added down the line, but I'm with Vil - I think we'd see spanish next over anything else and that's 'if' they added it ; ;. I wish it wasn't so difficult to add them, so the game would be more accessible to those that wish to play it but it's all about cost & returns ;;.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! and OP, your english is better than a lot of native speakers, so don't worry

    Well, uh...
I don't think it is needed after all. If they just make the translations in game it'll be a quite great enough! If brazilians have to post some threads or replies or so, they can use google translator (ahahaha)or a translator volunteer. And we don't need so many events (believe me, only the passion we got in FF is enough).

About similarities with spanish, i need to say, no... we are a lot different^^ But I agree with you in the spanish been included in place of any other languages first.

However, my hope will not die! I want to see more conrades jump in the game^^ It'll be quite easier to make stuffs for me. In other way, it's good in this way, because I can use my freak and weak english with you people^^ And try to know more about your country and stufs...

Anyway, will be enjoyable to be here from this time forward, no matter what happens in the languages... (but, again, my hope still standing).

The wise is far away from the results. He is still on the search for questions more and more specifics and go to every corner of Eorzea trying to bring the answers for all doubts.
