Any balanced FF classes at this point would be fine with me. What I DON'T want though is watered down BLM with a bit of everything in it.
I want my BLMs extra black and physically helpless thank you very much.
I think it's a shame to see so many people just want this to be FFXI-2 with the classes, personally I like the suggestions for some more unique ideas and ideas from FF games which were only in tactics etc.
I think its a shame you think its a shame that we think its a shame that its a real shame they didnt add smn and the quintessential FFS classes in the shame that was this games release.
FOR SHAME!
I don't believe wanting jobs translates to us wanting a FFXI-2. Jobs exist in alot of the final fantasy series, not just 11. its familiar and feels like final fantasy is all. Also they are awesome!
but anyways i would like
SAMURAI
summoner
Dragoon
Bard
Dancer
Mystic Knight
Red Mage
Blue Mage
Corsair (or something gamble related)
Ninja
Theif
Sage.
Didn't say I was against quintessential classesbut some people are describing them to be exactly like they appeared in XI or just reeming of lists of XI classes. I mean, Paladin? Isn't that already what Gladiator is if you level a mage job and get cure spells? (Haven't leveled it myself so not 100% sure but it seems that way to me) I dunno, I played XI, enjoyed it, want something different now. Love the suggestion for Berserker myself
Could be an advanced PUG class. I like the idea of class branches.
@JRChronicle You may have mis-read what I said, I didn't say anything about 'wanting jobs means people want FFXI-2' (Heck I said I like the idea of more jobs) I meant 'Some people want the classes to be exactly like they were in XI'.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see some new stuff but they need to add things like smn (etc) to give the final fantasy feel back. I do admittedly miss my jobs from 11 but I don't want carbon copies. I want them back, but better, more thought out and more signature then what we have now.Didn't say I was against quintessential classesbut some people are describing them to be exactly like they appeared in XI or just reeming of lists of XI classes. For me, my dream would be for them to include advance jobs unlocked like tactics and even have jobs we have now branching off into other versions of itself. Such as pug taking on difference "styles" of fighting.
An oriental class that uses katanas and great katanas.
Archer can use crossbows, which gives them a free hand for a shield.
Two-Handed greatswords for gladiator.
A pet job of some kind. Way ffxiv works, looks like atm only way to incorporate pet job is to have prime skill a melee or ranged attack, and summoning the pet is a learnable skill, and the pet just auto-attacks whatever you use your prime skill against, each time you use it. The pet will only respond to learned skills and the master's prime skill, so using another class's prime skill with the pet won't make the pet do anything.
Kor Poni of Mysidia server.
PALADIN !!!!!
I'd like to hear word on if Arianist and Musketeer are still coming, Limsa is lacking because those guilds aren't playable.
