If they are going to implement cross world "Partying" they said nothing to be specific about dungeons in general. the world is going to be split apart to content you can't acess without instanced access.

But then again I'm against having far too much instanced content in the first place. I don't mind stuff like BCNM's and Dynamis and all that jazz, they are singular zones created for the purpose of allowing players to organize before a large fight. Some of the instanced stuff in the game required a arduous journy just to get there.

How would Cross server for stuff like ENM work? Would you just go to the ENM and pray someone from another server would pick you up? Instead of getting a party to do it in the first place....

I just sounds needlesly complicated for what it offers in the long run.

If it's JUST for stuff like BCNM, Dynamis...I could care less because I would be restricted from that solo anyways. But I do not want large exploratory zones with new monsters and sights to see be restricted just because I'm not raiding the area.

thanks for posting much better then a few others.

But i still disagree. I seen all of which you claim happen w/o it. And not all players are bad for using it. And the reason why is to make ffxiv as least time consuming as possible in the sense of looking to do stuff. And players can get a bad rep no matter what. But honestly It is poor form to judge a person w.o knowing them. I always try to chalk their rudeness to a bad day or misunderstanding. I just try to ignore it and move on.
I seen ppl get bad reps on ffxi, just for not conforming to elitist views. Yet they are really nice ppl.

Plus you also skrew over those who do not play @ peek times when the pops are lower. Not everyone play @ peek times due to their jobs or school. I mostly play at odd times. And even b4 WoW it can be hard to get something done, just due to not alot of players.

cross world partying helps those who play at off times, where the server pops are low. Trust me it can take hours looking for a group in ffxi if your an east coast player in the US when you play from 9am-9pm east coast time. that is 6am-6pm cali time where a large portion are players are from to what I notice.

Well usually I would agree with you on this point. I, like many others have work and other rl commitments. Like you say, being on at peak times is not alwas easy. However, this particular MMO has servers which have people from all across the world. NA, EU and Asia. It is reasonable to say that most of the world is covered in each server.

With people from across the world in each server, the issue of peak and off-peak times has been dealt with. There are people on this game around the clock. You no longer get say 5pm-10pm so many people it lags......or any other time, you'd be lucky to find anybody. There is a steady stream of people within each server at any given time

kimi i played ffxi in off peek times, and even with international servers getting a party is still pretty hard. jp peek times for my time are around 12-4am. (my time) EU peak times are around 6-11am (my time). after that server pops are low.

    Cross-Eorzea grouping? Hell, yes
    Cross-Server grouping? Damn, no

And I hope they forget the idea about automatic fast. And let us walk to the dungeon entrace, no teleport into the middle of the dungeon.

Sometimes yes, it is difficult even when the whole world is playing. We do not always get the best situations on these things. However, with forming parties in your own server, you can regroup again with those people at a later date. Being able to group with them once durring those times is a safe bet you can group with them again at the same time.

If anything, you will have less drama, as people will care more about their reputation and less loot arguments. We have all experienced it, and i think its safe to say that we can all agree it is unpleasent to be a part of.

Also, consider this, im sure everyone has experienced rage players in their time (they may even be one, idk). With cross-server parties, that becomes more common. When they do come up with a subscription fee, i for one would not wish to pay monthly to be insulted by someone i cannot even report as they are on a seperate server.

also, consider the amount of time wasted when you are waiting for a party match, only to be /kicked by osmeone because you "don't fit the bill". I'm sure you can agree, that is not only an unpleasent experience, but a frustrating waste of time.

Sorry Kilta... your wants are not always the best options and people will disagree and have justifications for doing so.
I hate pointing it out but it's getting old hearing her insult every single person she disagrees with.
"Not to be mean but... *goes on to be mean.*" It's practically her catch-phrase.
Really, learn some manners. Learn some respect. Just because people don't all share the same opinion as you doesn't make them rude. -_-; No one's personally attacking you or other people with their opinions and there's no need for you tell tell them that they're wrong or go attacking people. You have no right to tell people whether their opinions are valid or not.. You get treated the way you treat others. Think about that for a bit.

I agree with OP. Please no cross-world grouping.
