So if I have two Service accounts and I register the PS3 version to one of the accounts will I be forever locked out of playing the PS3 linked account on any PC ever again?

    The reason I ask.

I'd like to dual box using my PS3 and my PC.

At a later date I'd rather dual box using my PC and a nice gaming laptop but I don't want to have one of my accounts locked out of being on the PC because I registered it for the PS3.
you can use the your account on whatever pc or ps3. what you play on dont matter.

If it's a brand new service account, created with the PS3 code, you can only play on the PS3 with that service account (until you get a PC code from a PC copy of the game, or later on directly from the store).

If it's a 1.0 service account (ie PC), you can register the PS3 code to it and play on both PC and PS3 with that service account.

See that's what I thought. I was just scared by this....

*Please create separate service accounts for the Windows version and the PlayStation 3 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV. You will not be able to play at the same time if you register the codes under the same service account.
Which just raises another question really....

Both of my characters are under the same Square Enix account. As of now, since they are on separate "service accounts" I can dual box them. It looks though, as if you can only register one of the "service accounts" to the PS3, while the other one won't be able to be played on the PS3, since I would've already tied a "Square Enix account" to the PS3. I get this from the following information...

■Unfortunately, you can only register a single product code (a code that comes with every copy of the PlayStation 3 version) to a Square Enix account. Please do not purchase more than one copy if you are planning to register them under the same Square Enix account.

The only way for you to create multiple service accounts with the PlayStation 3 version is to purchase additional registration codes through the “FFXIV Service Center” website which will be available after launch. Please note that you will need an active FINAL FANTASY XIV service account in order to access this website.
So I shouldn't buy more than one copy upon release. It looks like I still have hope though. In the second paragraph it looks like we'll be able to buy registration codes through the "FFXIV Service Center" website. My question then is, after registering one of my "service accounts" with the "physical" registration code (the one that came with the physical copy of the PS3 version) and the other "service account" with a "digital" registration code (the one that would be purchased from the FFXIV service website), I'll be able to switch between both of my characters on both the PC and PS3.

Yeah, that's just saying if you have one PS3 code and one PC code, if you register them to the same account, you can't dual-box.
