Honestly, I think people should care because SE's water is college student quality. I know because I was in class a year ago creating an ocean shader that looked like XIV's. It was an intro class.

There are new standards and it's weird to see a graphic's engine that seems so capable in other areas fall so far behind in this area.

They gave us the option for depth of field meaning they have the tech to produce a depth buffer. I can see that they're using it for the water but they're *just barely* scraping the potential.

The PS3 could be a reason why the water effects are rather low. I've never touched PS3 development but I do know that efficiently performing water that looks nice is always hard to make. I can't find a 360/PS3 video of great water right now..

id like to some more life inside the water, possibly the "Fish" type you can catch in it.
(or atleast some varity, dont want a shark swimming around in 2 inches of water do we...lol)
