The new lodestone was going to be release like 2days ago but it was delay. I sure when the new one come out everything would be right and not the old info.

actually if you go to the new ffxiv page where it shows the specs it won't even let you click on it... also the new lodestone is up and you can log in if you have a character from 1.0. In the pic below system is greyed out and you can't go to that link it won't let you... I'm guessing that's the system reqs.

I feel terrible for anyone who has unwittingly pre-ordered the wrong version.

That's something you should contact Amazon about, it would be out of SE's control I would imagine.

I'm running an Intel 2600k and an AMD 7970, I get ~8800 on the bench, and over 90 fps in the field in the beta. With my old card, a 6970, I would get ~6800 in the bench. My comp is about 3 years old with the exception of the 7970. These are with max settings.
