So a friend that I've been promoting FFXIV:ARR to, came back to me and said after doing some googling, they're not gonna get the game because their system can't handle it. I assured them that their computer can handle it after checking the specs, and found out why they thought they can't play it.

A quick google search for XIV system requirements put this as the top link:

It really need to get updated or removed entirely, so it doesn't confuse more new players.

EDIT: The page in question has been removed, high fives all around. On a side note, friend's benchmark score was just under 2500, so at least it's playable.

I completely agree that needs to go its very confusing for new ppl. Now what I would do right now for your friend and I know this won't help the other ppl that see this if they don't have a friend that plays FFXIV and knows about this but I would tell him if he is still worried and doesn't fully trust your "word" on the fact that his computer can handle it is to go d/l to FFXIV benchmark so he can see just how well or bad his comp. will handle the game.

This page is even weirder that its still up after i went back to check it, I mean it could be tagged as a class and when they re did there FFXIV logo they put that into the class that changed the logo for all of FFXIV's webpages and this one was linked to it, but it has FFXIV: ARR's Favicon, which just seems weird to me lol.

It is confusing but of course it doesn't say A Realm Reborn either. If anything, they should have a link to ARR's specs somewhere at the top or something... and make sure it's visible if they don't take the page down.

That's something you should contact Amazon about, it would be out of SE's control I would imagine.
