I am disappointed with you. you are an amazingly good director, but the lack of transparency, and the blatant deception, that you've brought to the table tonight, are things that you should not be incorporating into your business ethos. it is the number one reason mmo's fail. if there's a problem or a misunderstanding, clear it up. dont just look the other way and say "meh, that problem will go away".

I know you are excited and took a day off in order to take your and properly dive into the Beta. However...

I'm sorry, but that last part where you accused Yoshi-p of lack of transparency and blatant deception was uncalled for.

You have not been deceived, you have not been lied to and Yoshi-p has been transparent and transparent can be without showing all his playing card. If the is a problem with the Beta mails, the community reps will respond accordingly when the information is at hand. Keep in mind that you were posting during nighttime for the NA community reps and that a proper response can be delayed because of that. Also, keep in mind that Yoshi-p took a flight back to Japan at 2am PDT (mentioned on the blog).

In the meantime you can proactively search through your spam mail and contact their support. Other then that, all you can do is relax, bear with it and calm down.

There is no reason to cancel a preorder because of this, or accuse them for deception, lies or lack of transparency.

The game was a disaster. People still have a bad taste in their mouth whether the new team did a good job or not.

Besides Yoshi has nothing to do with the customer server; of which ANY one that plays FFXI still knows sucks...

I for example due to a last min error did not get Legacy. When I had not only been playing since beta but during f2p and when sub came back again. They told me they will fix it when the new service is in effect. Ive been with SE since what... 2002-2003; cant even remember. Its smooth over all but when it gets to when you do have an issue its harder then talking to the president to fix often.
Everything gets lost in translation between our guys and Japan. And Japan gets all the special attention (obviously it should) It's the NA branch that has always blown.

Don't defend them, they like the Dev team have always needed a reboot.

Listen, entitlement or not for complainers is still their right. Obviously once again SE chose money over loyalty. By making sure people new to the game get beta access before any 1.o players; legacy or not. All 1.o players should have had access before those and post legacy players; before anyone else. But its economics and this is the real world.
So I ignore that.

Since my account didnt get flagged Legacy I have been unable to get in any betas. That's fine I dealt with it... But here we are on another rebound and nothing. My gf, my friends none of them have their access at the moment.

All most of us ask is to be kept updated in the end; that would make up for it. Not cryptic or once a day replies. Its nice to get a heads up at all but then nothing since? Its been an entire day. Btw It clearly says All 1.0 players, and to wait for further instructions. DAYS in advance mind you. Nothing about gated access etc.
Some of your replies are so frustrating because you talk out your asses; your not reps nor have ANY inside info. The last Mod reply on this topic (the only at that) clearly gives no impression of any gating in 1.0 players either; and that they are working on getting all 1.0 players in....

Lastly you have all the 1.0 players about to hit Beta. Again many of those players are still pretty upset after all this time; naturally you would assume and expect them not to not drop the ball with your crowd. But hey they already have "our" money.
This has nothing to do with servers, stability, etc. Its obviously an oversight administratively.

Stop telling people to chill...You sound like those idiots who were saying, guys it will be fine before the game practically burned to the ground with that idiot sinking it; with telling players how to play. It was just a complete disaster.
And any improvements were taking FOREVER, until Yoshi came around WAY later.

All im asking if for the Reps to get their !@#! together not the devs. A CR/CM, someone needs to say something; its been a day. And since it has turned out this way of coarse we all consider it longer. Its been DAYS since we got our first emails.
And Im asking you white knights to back off; you dont even need to comment. Meanwhile when we finally do get keys were going to be waiting and entire day again just DL the game, since we could have been DL this entire time while waiting for our keys; and obviously we cant get the Client since no access.

I lost my original registration code after being an Alpha tester to spam-deletion with a stupidly short box empty and while I doubt they'll be sending another one my way - please take this individual's advice and check spam so you don't lose yours also.

It's perfectly fine to ask the Reps to get their act together. However, we are all people here and people make mistakes. It happens. Everyone gets frustrated when you are on the receiving end when it comes to the consequences of ones action/mistakes. It how you deal with it, that's the key here.

We (as players and beta participants) are currently dealing with a problem were people who are supposed to have received a mail from SE containing a key to the Beta, but didn't seem to get it. That's a problem, we as the "haves" acknowledge that. On the other side, it is not the end of the world we're talking about. Sure, the "have nots" are extremely disappointed by the fact that they've only received word via 2 to 3 Reps posts stating that they are "dealing with the situation".

The only thing you as a player can do is proactively search through your spam mail and contact their customer support. With the previous Beta Phase, a thread was active on this forum where people mentioned that they didn't receive a Beta 2 invite and after a thorough investigation by the community reps, it appeared that an ISP classified the Beta Invitation mail as a spam mail. Due to that, the ISP block the mail, resulting in the fact that it never got to the recipient in the end.

Players then had to contact the SE Customer Service in order to solve the issue with them. Even today i've read posts from players who complained in the morning that they haven't received a beta code yet, but in the afternoon they post that they finally got the beta code in their mailbox and they were installing the client.

I personally haven't had any experience with the costumer support from SE, but i've had plenty of negative experience with customer support in general. Getting angry at the customer support is not going to help you in any way. You may not like it, but acting calm and reasonable towards a customer support agent works a lot better. There are times that Customer Support Agents or Community Reps do not have the answer to our questions or complaints. Somethings need to be investigated before an answer can be given.

Again, we are talking about a beta phase of a game, not the end of the world. There are more important things in life to fret over. Yes... I know it frustrating, but getting angry and stress over this particular situation will not help make things better.

This is not about white knighting, entitlement, or defending SE, or saying "things will be alright just you wait and see", there is a problem and we all know it (players, community reps, customer support agents and the dev team). We all know that the problem has to be solved. "Throwing a tantrum" is not going to help.

The community reps are listening, as you can see in the 2 Community Rep responses within the "Community team! Help! No Beta Emails?". Give them time to investigate and solve the issue, while the player keeps tabs in their inbox as well as their spam mailn.

There are a few things I'd like you to confirm (even though some are obvious) just to be sure:

• Check your email spam filter to ensure it wasn't caught there
• Confirm that the email address registered on your Square Enix account "E-mail address 1" is up to date as this is where we delivered the notification. If this is out of date, you will need to contact the Support Center.

The email is being sent from noreply@xmail.square-enix.com if you can search for that in your email as well.

If you were unable to locate the email, we request that you contact the Support Center so that they can assist you personally. I'm extremely sorry that this may impact your ability to play during this weekend's test and we're continuing to investigate the issue and will report back as soon as we have more details to share.

Feel the same way. Pretty poor Phase 3 management and definitely sympathize with OP.
