    Well then... this pretty much guarantees me starting over on a new server.

    One of the biggest things holding me back was all my melded gear. Now that the melded gear is useless, HI HO NEW SERVER!

    Just hope that there is actually some indication on items about what the stat caps are. Especially since different gear types will have different stat caps.

    Does anyone know how this effects double melded prerequisite relic weapons? I ended up with around a dozen of them in my attempts at making one for each of my fighting classes. Are they still going to require x2 tier 4's or 5's now? Will they be converted automatically since a couple of the materia types no longer exist? Would appreciate any info or links ^^ ty

    Have to say I may like these changes. Making materia sets was becoming pretty torturous for some people.
    No loss of gear due to botch is a nice touch.
    Good idea on the stat cap I suppose.
    It will help combat eliteism.

    this means prices will drop on materia, and catalyst might go up depending how easy they are to get.
    dye system wont allow price gouging on buying a black armor piece apposed to yellow.

    Prices of materia will go up, not down:

    * It is harder to make materia
    * People will try more to add multimelds to their gear, because the loss is lower
    * ''useless" materia will still be used to decrease spiritbonding time.
