I hope I get some compensation for my trip meld blm gear....

Prices of materia will go up, not down:

* It is harder to make materia
* People will try more to add multimelds to their gear, because the loss is lower
* ''useless" materia will still be used to decrease spiritbonding time.

Man they really thought of everything, don't want that materia, then just put it ina dinky gear and bond with it faster lol. Then if you have to many HQs and not using any bond with one, but of course the slight attribute boost is something that people will most liekly wanna use in melding materia with in the long run, but it is interesting to see that they seem to have covered a lot of corners with the changes to system.

Though they did take out a lot of materia, odds are they will come back later, they just had to break down the system to it's core, I wouldn't be surprised if later down the road they created materia specifically designated for PVP.

Materia melding is one of those things I never got around to before the servers shut down so all of this is new to me.

I feel sorry for all the people who blew all their money in double melding base weapons for the relic quest in preparation for the 2.0 quest. Could have saved heaps of gil with the easier melding system
