Hello? Did anyone see my post?
Not sure if it was mentioned already (cant find the source) but there will be another "Welcome Back" campaign at the start of ARR for all current account holders.

Doesn't take much to be a gaming journalist, this I know for sure >.>
Skye, the donut store should be open now. Wanna go? T.T

I'm sure you don't mind if I break your habit to multiquote things to oblivion.
You can scream "you lie!" to the top of your lungs Skye, but that doesn't remove any solidity from my argument, nor it adds to yours.
I don't need to "prove" anything, even because I don't need to convince you. Whether you agree or disagree with me is inconsequential. My arguments are directed to Square Enix itself.
Your whole argument seems to be "hey, if people won't come back with two weeks they wouldn't come back anyway!"
That's really rather illogical. Every person has a threshold past which they can be convinced to do something unless that something goes radically against their values.
Steam the perfect example of that. A lot of the people of steam buy a ton of games that they normally won't even consider buying, because Steam provides sales with very high discounts.
Steam is not the only one that discounts games, but people that don't buy a game when it's discounted 30%, will be more tempted to buy it even if they didn't initially intend to if that game is discounted 60%
In this case convincing people to try A Realm Reborn out is simply a matter of going over that threshold compared to them staying on other MMORPGs or games that may be having their attention at the moment. For many a full month of free gameplay (which is a psychologically relevant amount associated with the purchase of a new MMORPG) may easily get over that threshold.
Oh, and by the way. Square Enix is not being "generous". They're trying to make a buck. No more, no less. All the perks they're offering have the sole purpose of gaining them paying customers. Mind you, it's not a bad thing. SE is a company, and making a buck is their purpose.
So talking about "generosity" in corporate terms is ludicrous, and really rather fanboyish.
Quite a few people over 16 years, on print and net. Apparently they think I can assess the industry and the market better than the average. Who knows, maybe they're right....um, Abriael? Who are the people who hired you to be a journalist? My six year old nephew might want a job. LOL
But leave it to people on this forum to turn a discussion into personal mudslinging. Sad that you feel the need to be this petty.

(Grabs car keys, throws them at you)
I need a donut break anyway.
LET'S GO! There's a powdered jelly piece of heaven calling my name!!!!!
lol Whatever you say, Abriael. I wish i was single-minded enough to believe an mmo giving away their game for free to past customers would be hurt by not giving away a month of free play instead of two weeks. Alas, I think, therefore I am. But in the end, you have your opinion, I have mine. Now if you'll excuse me, there's something far more important than this conversation I have to take care of...
Donuts. I need donuts.

You can try as much as you want to shift the argument on the personal level (where it has absolutely nothing personal), but that changes nothing, nor it helps your argument at all.
It's the simplest of logical processes to understand that the more is offered, the more the offer will be effective. Seeing you argue against that is basically like seeing you argue that 1 is bigger than 2.
Mommy, Daddy! I hate it when you yell!
I find Abriael amusing enough to humor his "arguments" once in a while. But the last thing I want is to go on too long in one sitting. If I do, another thread could get closed. So I give him a break every now and again. ^_^
I'm cool like that. lol
Arbiel should take his "Broken Promises" deductive abilities and apply them to a more useful and constructive environment... like find all the US government's broken promises.
What a waste...

Wouldn't matter.
He'd simply make his claims, throw in a bunch of hyperbolic nonsense, and when his opponents ask for sources to his claims he'd simply say "I'm right. I don't have sources, but I'm obviously right. You don't agree, I lol at you."
Nah, I think video game forums are a better place for him to be. lol
