Well, since you are trying really hard to have the last word in this topic, I will concede that the proof I have is NDA enforced.

But the proof is there, and in ten days, everyone who has access to these forums right now will have access to it.

Those who know me, know that when I assert stuff, it is accurate to what I have researched, and I have researched a great deal. If what I assert is found false, I do go back and edit my posts to reflect the changes.

If you don't want to trust me? No skin off my back. I have posted enough in this community to have many folks who trust that I know what I am talking about.

When phase 3 starts, and many people are playing with the expectations that it is a trial version, this topic will be proven irrelevant.

You do understand that there's no way to "vindicate" anything right?

A beta is not a free trial by definition. A beta is by definition a test of the game where beta testers are required to use their time to hunt for bugs and provide feedback, which means that we'll be providing Square Enix with a service.

A free trial is by definition free, which conflicts with the concept of providing Square Enix with a service.

Selling a beta as a free trial is disingenuous at best, and nothing anyone can say will change that.

considering that we are always morally obligated to deliver bug reports and give feedback even after a game is released, it is actually quite accurate to use the specific definition of 'free trial' Duuude007 is presenting (A test of a product, at no additional cost to the player) to equate betas to free trials.
