Just give us a seek party flag and a way to actually search people by zone, class, and level please. Honestly these two things were awesome in FFXI. I'd feel awful if shit was just done for me mindlessly

"Us heroes, we have so much to do."

So really what we should be saying is say no to automated parties for dungeons. Now THAT I can get around. While it's fun in a game like let's say Vindictus, imo anyway, that can be disastrous in a game like FFXIV especially if some of those dungeons need coordination that would be uber frustrating.

Right, I just want to avoid a situation like in WoW:So really what we should be saying is say no to automated parties for dungeons. Now THAT I can get around. -Sitting around town, I turn on the dungeon finder saying I'm a DPS
-A few minutes pass and I'm put in a party and automatically warped to the dungeon with my party
-No one says anything, we just mindlessly go through the dungeon (much like behest atm)
-Stuff drops, everyone's greedy, dungeon's done
-I'm warped back to exactly where I was when I started the search
I'm usually one for strong gameplay mechanics and features even if they break immersion, but DAMN that RIPS you out of the world like crazy and just seems like it's super easymode laziness

This was easily my biggest issue with WoW after they started implementing cross-realm instancing. Even though it solved some issues (especially for crappily managed low pop servers), it came at a pretty steep price as far as the community was concerned.Right, I just want to avoid a situation like in WoW:

When they instanced PvP and brought in arenas as the sole focus of PvP progression, it completely destroyed the great PvP community the game used to have. Intense server-based PvP Guild rivalries disappeared when the e-sport sideshow was introduced, and after that it pretty much dissolved into solo-queueing to farm glorious honor points (or sit in the "AFKave" all day)
That IS what people are saying I don't how you're twisting it inside out. Cross-world auto grouping IS random otherwise it wouldn't be auto would it? read the dev comment first then argue. So really what we should be saying is say no to automated parties for dungeons. How about you try to read my posts? It's random because that's how they've implemented it so far in previous games, has it occurred to you that perhaps because of our feedback they might consider going another route that would not be so random?
Point is the mod said devs are thinking of implementing cross-server auto grouping. Sorry for being aggressive but I do agree with you that if its different, like we search for people seeking and talk to them and ask them to join I think it'd be better but auto grouping i'm against.
