    They may have a similar stature to Sahagin, but the Mamoolj'aa share more physical similarities to that of the Amalj'aa which would indicate a stronger evolutionary connection.

    Look at their head crests for instance: While the Mamoolj'aa have one that is pointing straight upward, the Amalj'aa have a massive bulky one (like the rest of their musclebound bodies) that falls behind the head and back.

    Maybe the Mamoolj'aa left for La Noscea because they got sick of getting bullied by the big meathead Amalj'aa and having sand kicked in their faces.

    As long as Gulool Ja Ja makes a comeback in a FATE or something, I don't care where the Mamool Ja came from.

    That guy was awesome.

    It isn't that far from Ul'dah to Limsa. The only obstacle would be crossing the sea that separates them and that would only take a day or two with a boat. It is within the realm of possibility that a beastmen tribe could build a boat and move places and then develop some different traits overtime. Humans did it for the entire world before we developed electricity, so why can't beastmen?

    I made a thread a good time ago saying why not bring the beastmen from FFXI to FFXIV: ARR and have each of them pitted against a certain beastman race. Say Quadav VS Kobolds, Yagudo VS Ixal, and Orcs VS Amalj'aa...?

    Gigas > Shiva

    Odin -> N/A
    Bahamut -> possibly some dragon/drake Beastmen tribe or otherwise N/A

    I am still wondering if Goblins and Qirin will have a primal

    Being nitpicky but Paglath'an isn't Ul'dah or Thanalan, it's north and east of Ul'dah and is a HUGE area. At the moment the only race we know that uses 'technological' transportation are the Ixali and their 'dirgibles.' I don't it's too farfetched to think the Beastmen have stolen boats to use, but there's no precedence for the Amalj'aa having used them. Sure the Mamool Ja and Amalj'aa names are similar but evolution wise there's a very large gap.

    Amalj'aa have 4 fingers and 4 toes. Mamool Ja have 3 fingers and 2 toes. Which is a huge gap in evolution. They could still be related but it wouldn't be a close or recent ancestor. Amalj'aa are way more bulkier despite living in a desert with fewer prey than than the waters, caves, and hills of La Noscea. Tanaka might have went in designing the Amalj'aa off the FFXI Mamool Ja, but this is FFXIV and we have our different Lore. They're very similar but they're also very different at the same time.

    I was discussing with a friend shortly after we saw this and she asked me if maybe the Mamool Ja had been living underground and Bahamut had simply uncovered them and I said: Well if they were underground dwellers they would be white or very pale and chances are the Kobolds would know about them with their mining operations. One thing I noticed in the video was the axe the Mamool Ja used is the same as the Kobolds. So there's probably some kind of dealings in ARR. But maybe it's entirely plausible for this race to have existed in the huge area between Limsa Lominsa and Camp Iron Lake undisturbed. Funny enough this area is speculated to be the city of Nym and the area is called the Wanderer's Palace, a major hint to Oschon.

    I think the Qirin will DEFINITELY have their own Primal as we've seen in 1 of the videos, I forget which, there's a Qirin FATE so the Qirin have become aggressive. So like the Sylphs, maybe some of the clan/tribe are being swayed by a Primal. As for the Goblins it's a wait and see thing. Every 100 years the Goblins go on a great pilgrimage, we don't know where or why...so it could be a "religious" Primal kinda thing. The last Goblin Pilgrimage just happened to be 1472 6A.E., add 100 and it's 1572 6A.E. which was 'Present Day' 1.0. So if the Goblins continued they could be gathered together and if taught by a Paragon, summon a Primal.
