I'm fairly sure Bayohne's Cross-World is the same thing as Cross-Server. WoW uses the same system for their instances.

Thats great news, I see both the pros an cons or the cross world instant party creation so don't mind which way that turns out. There have been discussions elsewhere on the forum regarding the LFP issue and the party creation system in general. Since this thread was a hot topic in the past, I wanted to cross-post an update to it.

We discussed all of the latest opinions with Yoshida. While it won’t make it in time for the implementation of the raid dungeons that the development team is working on currently, we’re planning on implementing enhanced LFG (looking for group) and automated party creation features.
Also, while it won't be an easy task, we are also checking into the discussions for a cross-World instant party creation system.
Please continue to leave feedback so that your time and experiences while tackling dungeon-related content in the future can be enjoyable!

Con's - Unaccountability for actions, ninja looting etc.
Pro's - Massive population and cultural diversity.
Massive thumbs up though.
Edit:- I think it would be best adding this to the 3rd players poll to see what the majority of people think and not just the "noisy" few who post here

I will sign this 100 times if it means we dont get a cross-server system. Hell, I would actually pay the monthly subscrition NOW if it meant no cross-server system
Signed x100

Nice sig, I love Happy, best part about that show (fairy tail for those who don't know), I don't know if I'd watch it without Happy lol! ^^

Thankies for clarifying I thought this might be the case. Either that, or as previously stated, invitation without the need to be next to one another. I knew the servers were split in such a way; though depending on the architecture of XIV's servers I think a lot of testing is required regarding bridging them for parties/instances. Also; if that's the case, then essentially would there be little to no need for servers in general, due to all parties spanning them all?.Cross world means, from Selbina to Palamecia, or Trabia, so yes, cross "server" for those of us who think of them as servers (this is me too ^^) This is causing lots of confusion amongst people.
FFXIV is spread out across different worlds, as people already know. I'm on Selbina, some are from Lindblum, etc. But while you are on a world, using selbina for example, that world is separated into different "physical servers". so guildleve timer, market wards, instances, these are all on different servers. YOUR "WORLD" isn't all on one server. (not replying to poster really but to people in general who are confused). If people don't know what a server is, like the actual physical object, you should look it up, that shouldn't have to be clarified in this day and age.
Why would you not want cross world party system? Are you daft? I would pay right now to have dungeon and cross world party system.

Yeah I didn't want people to think I was calling you out or anyone else out who may of had questions, I've noticed on multiple forums people are confused about the structure or FFXIV.Thankies for clarifying I thought this might be the case. Part of me wants to see cross world/server content to see if SE actually could pull it off, I would have much more faith in them as a developer if they could.
Agree with this. Why would you not want cross world party system? Are you daft? I would pay right now to have dungeon and cross world party system.

I need more information on "Cross-World Parties" before I can render an opinion.
As for "LFG Icon", and creating parties with players in different zones ... I am for both.
