Not really. That's obviously the design of Scholar's outfit used especially in FFXI, so unlike BLU, there's some merit to the speculation.

I thought it was stated that everyone in the background of that image was a class wearing what will become common class gear. The scholar speculation is more warranted seeing as how odd it would be to put a class in the forefront with the jobs on the CE.
I know some see it as promoting the new class for the box art, but for many every job is new.

I think it is highly unlikely that they'd add Blue Mage any time soon (given how annoying it seems like it would be to balance, and how many more-popular jobs would be ahead of it in line). But... I find it amusing that the OP would pick out that tiny image in the corner which looks nothing like a Blue Mage just because it has a mask, when there's a dude who looks a ton like a Blue Mage (especially the FFTA iterations) sitting right in the middle:

I was under the impression that all the characters on the top layer were jobs, and those on the bottom layer were classes. Some of the armor looks basic.. that was my understanding.
