Sorry, Reika's probably right. I've heard 50%, but now that I think about it, I think 60% might be right.

Well in another post I did say that they should put something in like in Guild Wars where you had henchmen that will help in battle this would help in this game to be solo friendly. But the Henchmen will have to limited in levels and skills.
I don't understand why you'd have these concerns with a "Massive Multiplayer Online" game. I know the game was touted as solo-friendly, but I don't think they were comparing it to the MMO market as much as FF11. On top of that, if you don't have the "time or patience" for grouping or playing with other people, then play a single player game. I can tell you right now, regardless of how much they do cater to solo players, end game content and activities are always geared at groups.
I know I can't stand that people want to play an MMO but they don't want it to be group based. Casual mmo's used to be called "mmo lite", now all mmos are effing casual. If you want to play solo, go play the various other games that are solo based. Yeah I'm whining, but after they ruined XI on top of itself, I seriously thought XIV would be the other group based mmo I could play, casual to me means less time constraints. I am starting to lose hope in video games because of how liberalized the pool of people who can play it is now. I dont want a hardcore game, but expecting to be able to solo through most of an mmo is effing ridiculous, no matter how you cut it. And eff that henchman idea from GW, I didn't even like that in GW, get a party.
For the most part, I agree with you.I know I can't stand that people want to play an MMO but they don't want it to be group based. Couldn't agree more, I even agree with your passionate hate for the people complaining about soloers and how video games are slowly dying/MMOs are dying and becoming solo games instead of MMO's. I too want a party based MMO, but it seems like this world has too many anti-social people who just want to play alone or something. I mean single player games exist, why should the MMO genre have to suffer too? Every MMO is becoming solo friendly, can't us group players get ONE game? Please?I know I can't stand that people want to play an MMO but they don't want it to be group based. Casual mmo's used to be called "mmo lite", now all mmos are effing casual. If you want to solo, why not play a single player FF game? This has always confused me. IMO, make it so nothing is soloable, make this a group game, after all, it's online, that's it's biggest strength. If you can solo something, why bother grouping? Why bother chatting? Why bother playing?
SE needs to come up with something better to group people together rather then just a search menu. Like the notice board like in Monster Hunter that shows what quest or leave your doing and lets people join. Grouping getting to take the piss in some MMOs and Guild Wars is one of them.
They need to come up with something that helps new players from shying away.
I don't agree with this. You're taking one extreme and replacing it with yet another extreme. If you want to solo, why not play a single player FF game? This has always confused me. I will admit if its your first mmo or first time partying in an mmo it can be scary, in FFXI it was scary when I partied for the first time in the dunes, but after a while you get over it. You just have to do it, I will agree that FFXIV doesn't have the search features yet for party play. In the japanese forums party flags and what not were heavily asked for.
For those of us who want to party we need /sea all, /sea all rank [value], /sea all [class]...etc
