No Dragoons Anywhere!

Why are there no Dragoons in any of the non-gameplay trailers?

Even in the EOE trailer they have the other 5 jobs, but no Dragoon. Why were there no Dragoons fighting in the War? or Monk's for that matter.

Why is it only a 5 man party?

Because, there is only 2 Azure Dragoon as far as the story is concerned, You the player and Estinien who is the antagonist of the questline. That may or may not change in the ARR questline but right now if they had another Azure Dragoon, it would make a contradiction in the story between your character and the one on the screen.

exacly, lore-wise it can exist only one dragoon per era, and the story is already contradicting right now because in the game now are 2 : yourself and Estinien

besides The Azure Dragoon protect Isgard from the dragons that threaten it and take no part in the affairs of the rest of the world

They're representing the 5 Races of Eorzea, thus all the players (race wise) are represented aswell.
