You know...i just looked up what tego meant.. and it means to clothe or portect, however Forgo means to do without something or to pass over...so with both put together it means to do without clothe or protection lol ...just a nugget of joy for you lol so what does your character's name means?

Zero meaning Zero. While the suffix, -sion means the condition or state of being. So after combing them, I got Zerosion which means "A zero state of being"

Ferodatz is just something cool sounding I came up with on the fly haha. Fero is the name of the element that makes up iron though...but I didn't know that when I* made the name XD

Anywho...

Lucke - pronounced as luck. The name comes from 2 things, the mythical aspect of Tarus/Lalafells that bring good fortune in the form of drops if you rub their heads, and the silent 'e' is there cause I thought it looked cool. The similarities to "Locke" Cole are just a ka-wink-a-dink. Most people call me Lucky and pronounce the "e" anyway lol

Arrayo - I wanted a last name that starts with an "A" and ends in "o". I liked the way the "ray" flows in the middle. Arr-ray-yoh. Similarity to the actual word "arroyo" (dry creek) is another ka-wink-a-dink. Didn't even know the word existed till after the fact.

Anyway I have another idea for Nique:

We are participating in the Lodestone 500. The legendary chocobo race. Lucke starts off strong but soon finds his opponents slowly passing him. Now Lu is quite ummm competitive so he fires up his hidden rocket boosters attached to his bird to get to 1st place again.

After using Japanese names on my FFXI characters for 6 years, i wanted to use something in English. SInce i already knew that i wanted to set Gridania as my "place of birth", i've decided to look for a Celtic/Irish name. I wrote down a few like Arynn and Caitlyn. I had to look through surname for a while before i found names like "Adare" and "Ardeen", which made me think of "Aldora". It had a nice ring to it, so i eventually settled for "Caitlyn Aldora".

It was thanks to your post Forgo that i actually looked up the meaning behind those names. (^_^ ) The were:

Caitlyn
Origin: Gaelic
Meaning: Pure

Aldora
Origin: Greek
Meaning: A winged gift

Once upon a time, when the internet was still young (and I mean so young that MMORPGs still didn't exist, and we had a textual equivalent named MUDs, for the young among us), I found myself with the need to find a fantasy name to use online, so I borrowed Abriel from my favorite fantasy trilogy (The Elenium by David Eddings. I definitely advise reading it and its sequel The Tamuli if you still didn't).

A few years later when I moved from the Italian servers of Dark Age of Camelot to the american RP server Guinevere (because the admins of the Italian ones were scumbags), Abriel was taken, so I added the "e", and it became Abriael.

I never changed since.

"Rosen" is simply comes from my fascination for roses, and some times gets other variations like "von Rosen" and similar depending on the setting I'm playing in.

Well, I honestly haven't listened to Evanescence in a long time. I was a fan of the stuff back when David Hodges was still in the band. ( first album.) My Immortal was always my favorite song.
