Still surprised the anime wasn't confirmed considering the popularity of the series.

I'm quite sure there'll be a new season of the anime, but probably during the winter season.

Probably the reason is that the third and fourth arcs are very different from the first two. The fantasy setting is gone, so they need to do a lot of work on concepts to replicate the success of the first two series. It's a very radical change, and it could tank the franchise if handled without care.
