Do you think that, chronologically, the Echo within the Echo is the first Echo ever Echoed?

Doesn't appear to be the case.

Ul'dah - Inside the echoception, Nielle opens Warburton's coffin. We've seen echoes with Warburton alive.
Gridania - Inside the echoception, Khrimm is frozen by the elemental. He's seen unfrozen before this and is unfrozen after.
Limsa Lominsa - Arguable either way depending on when Sthalmann banded with Merod/Emerick and whether it was after seeing the serpent on his investigation.

One can dream. I know GE wants to do some "Leading up to ARR..." lore content that I'd love to help out with and, aside from some issues with time setting, some info on the starshower, no matter how vague, would be wonderful - and might make for a good prophecy entry in a Lore Train as the Nym hint did. Still, I don't like to get my hopes up. For all we know, some threads are left alone on purpose and then whoever read them runs into the lore office, like, "Give me a blank sidequest, I've got a story for it!"

I think you might have missed Mjollnir's point, Moose.

All of our echos are initiated in 1572 with one exception - the echo in an echo. This one was initiated in 1562 (or whenever people think the Sharlayans were in town). If Mjollnir is correct and this is the first echo chronologically produced in an age, then it may even be that use of that echo itself triggered the starshower and sounded the echo. You could be cause of the echo beginning to propogate across history. Epic?

Well that went right over my head. Let me try again.

It depends entirely on when these introductory story lines take place. Though... now that you mention it, that's terrifying. It would fit as to why you were thrown out of the echo and knocked out, though. If this is the case, it's on SE to bring it back around - and doing so in a non-disappointing way is difficult with self-fulfilling origin stories.

I try to keep my nose clean of "this will clearly be explored in the future" business, which is why I haven't gone too deep into how I'm 99.9% sure that Warburton is just fine and part of a well-hidden Square Enix conspir-...

Still, that makes an eerie sort of sense, paradoxically. We'll see!
