VERY well done interview, Abriael! You asked pretty much all the right questions. Also, the info I read about city state vs city state got my blood pumping! I'm super-excited right now!
Also, whoa. You weren't kidding when you said you were in the business. An interview with Yoshi!?
Much props, Ab. Much props.
You could play on a JP world but you would lose your EU/NA friends. because i think big % are willing to play on the server most near to to them.Same here. I actually proposed a serverless system here a while ago and some people wanted to eat me alive lol.
Of course a lot of them brought the argument that SE's tech doesn't support it, which now has been proven false.
I'm especially sad that with server divisions I won't be able to play with my Japanese friends. I'll have to wait a while to see them again in game >_>
By the way, thanks for letting me use the Mini Minstrel pic, Vergil
And he said "stay tuned!" only twice. The drinking game would not work well with this one

Haha thanks. According to a commenter they're "uninteresting questions from a fanboy".VERY well done interview, Abriael! You asked pretty much all the right questions. Also, the info I read about city state vs city state got my blood pumping! I'm super-excited right now!

Guess what it takes to be "not a fanboy" nowadays. Oh well...
Yeah, also my Japanese isn't nearly good enough to be able to play in a Japanese-only server without feeling estranged. A serverless approach would solve the problem so I'm hoping for it.
Really liked the question about the Servers, nice to hear that there is a possibility in future, but i'd like to have that asap, new generation MMO starting from GW2 and now TESO will have this feature.. Imho this will stop the conflict berween player who want regional servers and who don't![]()

Don't count on it lol, I tried proposing it long ago. It just started the conflict between those that like it and those that think that such a setup would somehow single handedly destroy the community for some mysterious reason.Really liked the question about the Servers, nice to hear that there is a possibility in future, but i'd like to have that asap, new generation MMO starting from GW2 and now TESO will have this feature.. 'Cause having more people to socialize with is obviously bad for the community 'rite?
That is because FFXI/XIV players are the most closed mind in terms of MMO experience (not anyone of course) without any offence :PDon't count on it lol, I tried proposing it long ago. The reason i don't want it at start is because of leaderboard. I have to do some servers vs servers in PVP and stuff. But at the end does not really matter it wont make ARR any less from TESO for not having it. Yoshi-p seem to be doing it right making sure he can support things later on from day one so there no issue. So they don't have to tell there player base sorry we did not plan this right so we can support it our bad lol.
As long as there support we get it one day.

That brings up a good question. If we know people on another server, will we be able to message (in-game) and coordinate with them to play cross-server content together? Duty-finder will show us who wants to play "now", but it would much more useful if we could pro-actively ask friends (or new friends we met in previous duty-finder content).
Oops, that just made me think of a question about cross-server friends lists, etc. I better stop.
If it's like other group finders in other games, no, there won't be any communication prior to the formation of the group. Would be nice if there was a way though. That brings up a good question.
