hmm not that much actually but it took damn long to finish it .. due to motivation and crysis 1-3 x'DDD
I'd say about 15-20 hours

Aw, please don't be hurt, the piece is really nice, especially the use of color is fantastic. Unfortunately it is very difficult to convey expressions when the face is very dark and partly obscured.

*giggle* I was just kidding and I agree with that kinda disgusted face (sometimes I had that thought during coloring) xDD
maybe because Kyu doesn't want to play a male Miqo'te haha. Next time I'll do better DDD

Looking at the original pencil art, he does look surprised. The expression has gone a little lost with coloring. I'm not sure how to describe the reason exactly, but the lips have become tighter, making him look like he's refusing the kiss.

Hmm I've given it a close look now too, but I think maybe it also has to do with the eyes. Something about the coloring has made them more angular in shape and turned down towards the bottom of the nose (like this: \ _ / with the slashes being eyes and the line is the nose) whereas the lineart seemed more rounded and upturned (like this: / _ \). It also maybe makes them seem a little smaller maybe? Which just makes them seem darker as well because of all the surrounding dark skin. If they were opened up to be larger and brighter, I bet that would help convey more "surprise" instead of "grimace".

Of course, the three lines and the surrounding hearts all disappeared as well, and they carried some of the emotion.

Turns out expressions are hard. xD But hopefully these comments help Esu to become an even better artist than she already is!

I wouldn't say totally. You did a great job with everything else. And hey, the scene still has meaning even if he looks a bit disgusted :P
