oh, well that sucks. I just hope you can only own one plot of land per area, one in Limsa, one in Ul'dah and one in Grid then one over all for the FC.

It may have been explained, and it may be exactly what was stated in the last page by that one dude with the lala pic, but I am still a little confused on how it works just in general.
Let's say ARR reaches 15 million subs.. how will it work for housing in one instance area unless the housing area itself was as big as the Eorzea?
I JUST DON'T GET IT! *backhands Denmo*
I'm sure it was instanced areas of housing. Probably switch between different areas in each housing district similar to how the servers changed in Guildwars. Just my thoughts cause i know they said it was instanced. I guess we will see when more info is released.
Hello!
I have a couple of questions about housing in 2.0.
If land rights can be bought/sold/traded from players, and players can own multiple houses, does this not open the possibility of small groups monopolizing housing areas and then reselling them? I guess this would be more likely to happen on 1.0 -player servers.
It could also open a window for other forms of RMT beyond cash for gil.
Will there be measures in place to prevent these?
I know housing is meant to be a long-term goal (I know I'll be putting all my gil in my piggy bank... or MOOGLEY BANK!), but it would be nice if servers didn't run into an Ultima Online-like issue where there was never any space to build.
The game is looking fantasticI can't wait to play it!
P.S: someone totally needs to photoshop a moustached lalafell on a Monopoly game picture lol
They told long time ago that Housing will work like Lotro (they didn't say this).. where when a server is full a new istance and new land will be generate automatically ^^
Probably is like Niqote says ^o^ (or at least i hope it)

Sorry if someone asked already...but would we be able to contribute items to a NPC to build the house or lower the cost? Wood, nails, stones etc.? Would be a chance for crafts to get involved. Sounds silly if a level 50 carpenter or craft can't help build there own house...the house in each area would be crafted with material from the nearby zones and promote crafting in all areas. Just an idea and yes I'm crazy.
they said crafting would do a lot of stuff with homes. Like build tables and such so i'm guessing carpenter can build most of the stuff.Sorry if someone asked already...but would we be able to contribute items to a NPC to build the house or lower the cost? Please check the date-stamp on the first post. I did not make this thread after that one.
I think this would be kinda cool. I love crafting and gathering in this game.Sorry if someone asked already...but would we be able to contribute items to a NPC to build the house or lower the cost? I know housing won't be coming for a while, but I wish we could know more about it. I guess I'm more excited about housing than I am about dungeon-crawling lol XD
Am I in the minority for not liking the idea of instanced neighborhoods? The whole point of housing, to me, is to have a place for myself and my company. I don't really know much about the concept, but I mean, are we going to be seeing other people's stuff everywhere when we want to go back to our housing? I'd rather just have separate ones.

example yoshi-p said is let's say you buy a home. there 15 other homes you can walk around the instanced area and see other people homes and what there growing. But to enter your home i think they need a invite and such so to somewhat answer your question yes you be seeing other people house itself but to enter you may need a invite.Am I in the minority for not liking the idea of instanced neighborhoods? I really wish SE allow us to get a full instanced for just our friends. Seeing random people around i don't know going to suck lol. I mean you could simple just buy a lot at the sametime on a open area but you still get random people.
