By the way, I have another small update that I missed earlier.

If you're wondering about the identity of the voice actress in this picture, i did some research.



She's the extremely popular Rie Tanaka that originally lent her vocal cords to one of the Female Miqo'te voices in 1.0. You've probably heard her before in a multitude of anime series like Gundam Seed, Air Gear, Hayate no Gotoku and many others (and most of them are protagonist roles). Looking at this picture showing a rather thick script for A Realm Reborn...



we can see her autograph on the top right, with the character name hidden by tape, so we can pretty much guess that she'll play a major role in the new game.

Considering that she's one of the most popular voices in Japanese animation, SE isn't really skimping on the voice acting budget. Wish I could identify the other autographs...

I'd rather them focus in building a great world seen from the ground than wasting a ton of development resources to build one that will look great from the air 10 times and then will make us go afk during the ride.

that is part of having a great world having things that would be in the world, now you have useless airships and now a train that wont do anything thats a waste of time. you could just teleport yourself to a crystal like 1.0 not like their removing it.

showing us how the not trying to make that "next gen mmo" they keep talking about. there on try #2 and failing again lol. they should of just made star gates.

Having those elements there is a good flavor point, and they don't take too many development resources. On the other hand making a whole world that can be visualized from above does.

They forgot Kamishiro Yayoi (Hakaima Sadamitsu), Mizuhara Koyomi (Azumanga Daioh) and Kuki Ageha (Maji de watashi ni koi shinasai!), but yeah. =P

Considering they got Otsuka Akio (Solid Snake) to play Gaius, my guess is she'll play Y'shtola.

I think them showing off West Thanalan and East La Noscea was a treat! And of course the castrums they showed off LOL. The empire base off the cliff near the ferry docks as well was something i've been obsessing over lately.
