Poor FFXIV

I read the reviews and bought it anyway. Like many, I buy every Final Fantasy game. The series has a following and it will sell millions of copies no matter what. It's a bit like saying 'Date Movie' was a great film because it was a box office success. Sales and quality do not always go hand in hand, particularly when you consider brand names and marketing.

'Date Movie' didn't do well by movie sales standards. FFXIII did well by game sales standards. Your comparison is invalid.
