My theory at this point...

Event duration: Thursday, April 15 (1:00 a.m.) to Monday, May 9 (7:00 a.m.)

The event spans four weekends, there are a total of four caps available.

Obtainable cap switches every weekend.

How did people finish all three city quests? I did Ul'dah first then went to Limsa to get that quest, it said I would get the Pristine Hat (which I had from Ul'dah) if I gathered the four eggs. But when I gathered the four eggs again and I tried to turn them in to complete the Limsa quest the child told me I was greedy and couldn't get another hat and the quest remained unfinished.

I want the Midnight hat... and this event is confusing me so much right now. Is it just bugged or is it something else. >.<

Simple give your cap to a retainer and the NPC will give you another

Heh heh, yep.

I guess they didn't realize that most people were rolling their eyes not at the fact that the events were bells all the time, but rather because it was always a brainless "check NPC every 8 hours for random item" thing.

I'm pretty sure the event was designed to have you interact with the community by trading eggs but there is the fall back option of just talking to the npc every 12 hours for the unsociable/time available folks. Either way it is just a holiday event, no reason for it to be epic or something.

I'm thinking maybe the Pristine Egg hat is like the red Usagi Kabuto that is used to create the white and black Kabutos. Maybe?

Aside from the Chocobo Egg Cap all the other Egg Caps have a specific Archon Egg associated with it.

Has anyone tried dying the normal archon egg to try to get either the painted, darkened, or colored archon egg? Fits the Easter theme.
