The Lore Train: Naming, Clans, and Bears! (Dev. Summary; Week #1)

Earlier, there seemed to be some interest in a sort of weekly summary for official lore replies. We get it; digging through pages of threads in multiple forums can be a hassle. So, say hello to the summary of week one! If you like the concept, we'll be sure to keep on top of things 'round hurr.

Also, congratulations to Diyne for not only randomly getting a dev. reply about bears, but for making my editor over there (Fusionx) crack up and make it the weekly banner.

Nice complilation. I do have to pick one little nit though... there's not necessarily only just one nunh to a tribe, as Ferne informed us there can be several with each residing over a hunting ground. There won't be many, but there can be multiple, depending on the clan's size and territory.

Took me a minute to even find that phrase hidden in there, so thank you! It's been updated. Another important fact that was easily glossed over due to the multiple interpretations of the word follow was that the breeding make often doesn't actually lead anything - after all, with 50 ladies ignoring all the lesser males in that department, who'd have the time?

I just want to throw it out there now:

Lore Train will indeed continue to follow lore-related posts from here, Localization, and in those rare but awesome cases, the Dev. Tracker from now on. However, to do one this week would be a lot of forcing it; mostly just theory, "please look forward to it," and questions rather than answers.

Based on Ferne's reply to the Twin Adder thread, I'm guessing that the team is currently up to their eyeball(s) in Gridanian Grand Company localization and overall city-data for Beta Phases 2 and 3 on that there roadmap, so rather than restrict things with a schedule, we'll piece updates together as updates pile up.

In the meantime, I've got some Loremonger and exams to work on, so ... until then!

Sorry about the lull, but you are correct. The text is taking its toll. My fingers ache and my back is sore. Mine eyes are as red as Dalamud seen through a pair of darksteel eyeguards (red) +1. But we're on track to have a train-load of new content for you guys come Beta 3 (OMG! TRAINZ CONFIRMED!!!1!), and I'll try my best to find time betwixt guildleve and FATE translations to bury a few loremines here on the forums for you to stumble over. Then the good folks at Gamer Escape can sift through the carnage and use the parts to create their monster. Mwahahahahahah!
