My line of thinking is more on those miqo'te that first migrated, when "social" connections outside their own race weren't as prominent. Let's face it, they look like humans, but they are kitty cats...not saying they DID eat lalafells..but I couldn't exactly dismiss it completely either. If you're hungry, you'll eat XD

It's true, though. Most of their more believable cat-like traits are barely visible (fangs, eyes). They aren't half the felines Mithra are, and at a glance they look like humans in cat cosplay. Just be glad the ears and tail aren't motionless bent wires covered in fake fur.

They're not even from the same part of the world. Basically Miqo'te are from Canada and Lalafell are from Hawaii. They probably never even knew about each other until post-migration.

It's never been explicitly stated that any given race fed on another. In fact there's no record of any evolutionary stage that predates any of the 5 races, I don't think. In FFXI the races were spontaneously created (it's a little more complex than that, but it's more-or-less true), so we may see another instance of that.

Fur? It's just the same hair on top of everyone's heads o_o (even real life human hair could serve as protection from cold weather) and I don't think their meat would taste any differently either /yuck
