RUMOR: FF XIV PS4 redemption code to ship with PS3 title....bring salt.

So yeah the rumor is a PS4 version of FF XIV is already planned it will be a digital only release and free to anyone who owns the PS3 version.

Other juicy rumors, Versus XIII is on track for late 2013 early 2014 release and is no longer an action RPG but closer to FF XII. The game being shown at E3 is not Versus XIII.

You have to admit it makes sense. This would assure that the PS4 has no impact on PS3 sales because buying it on PS3 would get it you on PS4 later. It means there will be a PS4 version available for anyone coming to the game later on to.


I'm not sure how it will happen but I think it will come to PS4 for sure. Square did not ignore the Wii U when making Dragon Quest X and they wont ignore the PS4 especially when it does not play PS3 games.

Buying a PS4 doesn't count as "at no extra charge."

So a poster on a forum posted that some other poster posted that this was happening (free PS4 XIV for PS3 purchasers). Then also said that someone created a brand new account on the forum to say the other poster was correct. Then a "news site" referenced that forum post as a newsworthy source.

OK...

Now I'm waiting for the next rumor, that if you buy a PS3 in 2013 you'll get a free PS4 when they come out.

I'd imagine the code is just for the backwards compatibility thing via their cloud service, and not actually a full out ps4 version >.> Rumors rumors...
