As far as the color of the yarn goes, I usually try to match it to the miqo'te hair color of the recipient kitty.

I'm sorry... all I can see is the giant mounds on it's face hiding the huge sharp venomous fangs folded within. *shudder*
On a side note I like snakes and sharks... just not swimming with them.
