So the magazine reported the date incorrectly?
Nope, the last written letter (or one before it) said it was going to be Japanese local then NA/EU.
SWTOR free to play, D3 when it isnt bad, BL2 DLC.. oh and actual more important things than games when I get around to them
Alpha is just going to be stress testing during certain windows, so it won't be an excessive amount of time between alpha and beta unless something drastic goes wrong.
Yep, since the date keeps getting thrown in all directions something might not being going well to even begin the first phase D:

Yes.
Even though the best game in the series multiplayer-wise was Halo 2, and I didn't really care for Noble Team all that much, Halo 4 is going to be freaking legendary.
Halo 3 finished the fight, and ODST added some interesting back story into events between Halo 2 and 3.
Can't wait to kick some Promethean arse, or dominate in Infinity Slayer.
My only question is will the gap between November 6th, and ARR Open Beta be long enough?

I really think that Halo 1 was better, but that's mostly because I enjoyed the story a lot more and the fact that it was so different. Multiplayer was really fun too. I was unbeatable in a BansheeYes.

Mainly I think it was the innovations that kept me more interested in 1 than 2 and hopefully ARR will have that same innovative feel that 1.0 had that's kept me here so long. (Except done better, of course ^^; )
But yeah, it's gonna be hard to find a game I can really put time into and actually care about. I don't know what it is, but for me a game really has to have soul put into it for me to really love it and that's what made me really like FFXIV. It really had soul put into it, granted they were on a limited tight schedule, dated technology and the game was a little too... brown. With all these games like Tera, Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3 or Modern Warfare 7 1/2 Super 1337 Edition all I can see is copy paste formulas for "over-hyped game in a can" type games and I just can't get into them because it's always the same old crap :/
And it's really hard to find a game with actual integrity these days because all of the titles I grew up with are becoming sell outs and comepletely ruining the franchise to make more money (see FFXIII, Pokemon Black & White, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, Battlefield 3, Diablo 3, any Modern Warfare title past 4, ect) and I've been getting really worried that FFXIV 2.0 will join that list with all the new info we've been slowly fed like starving stray dogs. To me it's looking more and more like a copy paste type game and I really, really don't like that at all.
I think that's enough for this rant, hopefully I'm not getting too off topic here.

MOH, Watch the new season of the Walking dead, Battlefield 3, probably new BO, Guild Wars 2...maybe pick up some of my old games to play game
....
think that should be enuff
I hope they take 6~12months to release 2.0 then I will know the game is actually done
3 days from now will mark 4 months since final save. Can't wait to keep revisiting this thread every time an optimistic prediction is wrong (I'm mean). I told you people 8+ months, I am not going to be wrong.
