It's an ASUS M4A77T. Maybe you can find something xD

Using a be Quiet! Pure Power 630W
Changed to it in August. Before that I only had 450W ^^"

Shouldnt be a pain. If u got enough space for bigger cards, there should be space left to manage an additional cable as well

    Yeah, think so ^^
Last time I lost some nerves on my PC 'cause of cable management. I really need more experience ;x

    So... 7870 then?
Not going to buy in the next days though. Checking my savings first and maybe the prices drop? x)

Motherboards, like Ram, dont use alot.

Your 630W PSU is more than enough, especially since its a branded item (be Quiet! is a manufacturer well known for his quality)

If you loose your nerves and are in a mood to test the stability of your new GPU on the nearest wall, just ask a friend to do it for you

    I would say yes.
You just might read about different manufacturers before (the Powercolor seems to be a good one too) to get as much for your money as you can.

P.S: Prices are pretty low atm and with the never settle reloaded program you get games for free (even if u dont really need them, free stuff is always good stuff and u might can sell the download codes).

P.P.S: www.caseking.de and www.alternate.de are good shops too, if u want to compare prices etc.

Nah, I asked someone back then when I got the whole system and I really need the experience. I'm a Fachinformatiker - Systemintegration and my skills on building need to develop same goes for choosing parts. I think I am not that bad (anymore xD) but I still tend to ask others just to be completely sure. (Hence my posts here in this thread.)
Sorry if you think that I stole your time now >_<

I read about blackscreen problems with some cards, but nothing related to the ASUS model. PowerColor would be an option though since my 6850 is from PowerColor too.

If the prices go a bit below 200 i'll be satisfied xD
Alternate always seemed to be more expensive than MF, but maybe their payment options are better. Need to check on that.
Used to think Caseking would only sell cases that's why I never really go look there.

    Thanks for your help! /bow

Pfft, if i would think my times wasted here, i just wouldnt answer you

And yes, if thats your job in the future, you should earn some experience with building systems, since its a part of it^^
I still ask too if im not 100% sure about something.
If i upgrade my whole system i tend to ask about what Motherboard to choose, since im usually not up-to-date if it comes to this ones.

Heard about some Sapphire cards with blackscreen problems, but that should be fixed by now.
Otherwise i wouldnt have just ordered one from them today^^

There is always a chance your card isnt working as intended, its the same for every electronical device.
Thats what a warranty is for and in Germany atleast u got the right to send it back within 14 days without telling them why u do, if u buy online. And its up to u if u want a replace or your money back.

Yes, alternate isnt always the cheapest but sometimes they have some good offers.

Yeah i thought that too about caseking at first^^
But they sell everything hardware related and it seems like they have moderate prices and a pretty good service.

Some even offer 30 days, like amazon. And as long as it's directly from them, should something die, they will just give you a full refund, no questions asked. With some other shops I had the experience of having to way a few months because they sent it to the manufacturer and had to wait for them to replace the device... less hassle with amazon, I say, even if the prices are not always the cheapest.

Well, if you're trying to just run it ok with minimal upgrade you have an am3 socket which gives you decent options and I'd personally get a nvidia card unless something changes by release. Judging by the recommended specs they are having issues with amd drivers/don't care and are optimizing for nvidia.

It's not like I don't know what to choose at all when I, for example, build a complete system, but I also like to ask others if they'd choose the same parts or what they would change. Don't think that's bad. Sharing experiences like those is a good thing I think ^^
1-2 weeks ago I had to choose a Z77 mobo for a LS mate. Spent like 30min on the manufacturer's website just to compare all the different versions x_x

I think I found the card suffering from that at Mindfactory. Must be the one with the 3 star rating :/
Not sure which manufacturer to take. PowerColor was fine for me and the card in my old PC was from ASUS (if I remember it right). I saw XFX and HIS at Mindfactory, even though some HIS models seem to have a worse rating than XFX. At least I don't want to order right now, so I still got some time to think about it xD When I know which manufacturer to take, then I'll start comparing prices. Makes the most sense I guess xD

One more question... Do you think a normal model would be alright? Or would you choose an overclocked one? I never overclocked myself and don't feel like trying, because if you damage the card by doing that you'll loose support on the item.

It's called "Montagsmodell", right? I heard that Mindfactory deals with those without problems. They always send you a new one if you happen to get a broken device.

Years ago I bought 1 or 2 GB DDR2 RAM at Alternate and despite the high prices of DDR2 itself, it still seems very expensive to me when I think back. If I am right I paid around 70€ xD
Even though their prices are a bit higher, they seem to have a good service. I'll definitely check them out! Same with Caseking.

I don't really like to order electronical devices like PC parts at amazon, because I am a bit afraid of the packaging. In January I bought an SSD there and it just came in a cardboard envelope. I know SSDs don't need to be handled with that much care like HDDs, but it still made me frown a little. Still, I like to order there.
A while back I got me two books from a series from Amazon. Read the first one and decided that I don't feel like reading the other one because the story was lame. You really can choose the option "Don't like it anymore" when you want to send something back! They didn't ask any questions and I also got the whole money back. Didn't expect that at first and was really surprised.
Speaks for their service and you always get your stuff just after 1-2 days.

Yeah, its not bad to ask others opinions too.

Depending on what model you choose at the end.
If u find out that u got more money to spent and are looking at a 7950, Sapphires Radeon HD7950 Vapor X is the card to choose^^
Overall better testresults than the others.
Same with Powercolors 7850/7870 as i heard.
But there are a shitload of sites who compare all GPUs through benchmark tests etc. so u might look for them.

If i can get an OC card for the same price or a slightly higher one, i tend to choose the OC one.
It might just drain a lil more power from your PSU at full load but that wont be a problem with yours, because u got a good buffer.

Thats how it should be at every shop.

Same for me. I buy alot from Amazon like Games, Books, Music CDs, Movies, stuff like Headsets etc. but if it comes to PC hardware, i prefer professional shops who are specialized in hardware

you need a new PC buy a cheap one with a newer 4 core CPU and atleast 6GB of ram and buy a decent videocard like amd 6000+ series or nvidia gtx580 or higher.
you could build one but you need to know puters.

your CPU is close to 10 years old.

6GB of RAM are good only with a triple channel architecture (that depends on the chip). 4 GB are actually plenty for most gaming needs, and if your chip supports double channel, better than 6.
