Your 6100 score is higher then all the other GTX 480 scores ive seen. You are the only one to eclipse 6k. I think you can expect scores between 8000-9000 with a 680.
Any decent 680 you got with a moderate OC would easily give you the results you are looking for. Might not even need to OC
I hope so, my biggest concern is my mother board, as its PCI-E 2.0 and the 680 GTX supports PCE-E 3.0, I know they are backwards compatible, but I fear if I upgraded to the GTX 680 I would lose some performance due to the PCI-E 2.0 mother board I'm using.Your 6100 score is higher then all the other GTX 480 scores ive seen. You're having some really great performance from your set up.

I get around 5700 with normal background programs running at 1920x1080 max settings [AV, vent, steam] Is the game actually utilizing that much ram? I've always been of the opinion that even 8 is overkill.
It looks smooth as could be, fyi, is yours not running smoothly?

My mobo does the same thing and only supports 2.0 and I am getting 7770 scores with the GTX 670 unclocked. You should be fine.

Same here, I've got a Maximus IV Extreme motherboard and it's also limited to 2.0 but I still get about 8600 (1920x1080 maximum settings) at stock settings and around 9200 with a decent overclock. Even with the 680 (which eats up the demo) you're still not completely saturating PCIE 2.0, so no worries there.
The rest of my system:
CPU: i5 2500K @5GHz
RAM: 8GB @ 2133MHz
7643 with my GTX 680 and it's not overclocked.
The benchmark ran smooth, maxed out..
Mother board : Gigabyte X58 UD3R 3.0
GPU: GTX 680 MSI 2GB
CPU: I7 - 960 bloomfield @ 4 Ghz
Ram: 3X2GB DDR3 1600HZ (6 gb)
I also run an OCZ, vertex 4, 256 GB SSD.
I am going to OC the crap out of the gpu and see what happens to my score..
Will post results..lol..
One thing I learned. This game is cpu intensive and the benchmark kind of proves that.
Better CPUs are getting notably better scores..
Nice..
NOT OVERCLOCKED:

I'm too scared to over clock my cpu, let me know how much higher your score is once you do over clock it more XD interested to see the results.7643 with my GTX 680 and it's not overclocked.
