Super surprised at my score, considering my old fart of a CPU!

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130104-1431)
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (VRAM 2286 MB) 9.18.0013.0697

Using medium default setting at 1280x720:
    Score:4474
    Average Framerate:38.942

Had some FPS problems in the Thanalan phase with lots of camera swinging + NPCs + running players, but otherwise pretty good, especially in dungeons. So relieved! :3

Here's my score, I can run maximum settings fine and no need to lower my custom settings, it will be a bit slow but not so much that it will be a bother

Both runs done on Max settings. The only difference is the resolutions.

    System:
    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130104-1431)
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3960X CPU @ 3.30GHz
    16360.219MB
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580(VRAM 2751 MB) 9.18.0013.0697

    and

Hmmmmm I dont like that hit I take at the higher resolution. What do I have to upgrade to improve this? The Graphics card I assume?

You can upgrade your video card...but it won't be worth it IMO.
    I get a score of 6,100ish with my 580
    My wife get's a 6,600ish with her 670

Other than graphics cards our systems are the same. The performance increase may not be worth it....

ya it's not if you get anything higher then 4k you good enough to play FFXIV without issue so i don't think people need to stop worrying. If they want to play on highest setting with with 1920x1080 they should be good to go
