I wasn't a fisher at all in XIV 1.0, but didn't ppl make good income off of it? That might be a slap in the face to ppl who leveled it expressely for that purpose (or the purpose of supplying one of their crafts).

Yeah I'm hoping Yoshida didnt just slap a class. I did make decent money from it (could have made better with the other gatherers but w.e).

I'd still fish even if it wasnt useful but the matter of leveling up the class and gearing it wasnt just for a minigame.. so definitely hope that interview was misinformed / misunderstood.

I'm excited for chocobos taking up a party slot! Definitely helps a lot for those story contents where you cant find a full party. Still very curious on the breeding process and how armors effect the chocobo though.
