But that's your choice to do that in GW2. Lol.. Which is the point. It's YOUR choice. It seems to me like you want people to play a game your way, which is less solo more shouting for hours for an XP group.. That's just how I am reading into you. I could be wrong since I'm running off a few hours of sleep.

No. This is a discussion. Ive told you my opinion on the matter. We are discussing it. I could care less if people want to solo in the game. I just dont want the GAME ITSELF to end up getting boring for me like some other solo heavy games that I played for 2 months and got tired of. I want a good game that I can enjoy for years to come. I enjoyed FFXI for 6 years. When the game started getting more and more solo/easy I got bored and left. I like to be challenged. I dont care if there is solo content, I just dont want it to get too excesive and cause the game to get boring too fast.

You don't have to worry, SE has stated many times that they plan to implement 24 man raids, or 16? can't remember but raids are going to be implemented. But If I see you doing FATE! which is kinda a solo event, you just go "Alone" and do FATE while others are doing it too no need for parties, but yea if I see you doing FATE there will be trouble as FATE is implement for people to have something to do solo, even tho the event will have many people doing it, it's still something one would do when they are playing solo.

I asked a few pages back, what is FATE??

From what you've said it sounds like Open World Bosses/Events like GW2 has (which I only did if I happened to be there doing something already when the event started).

However, if there is some gear/item/really cool thing there to be had I'll probably do it until I get it. Im a gearist. Not necessarily JUST for the stats. I like to look cool too. I have several subligars cause lets face it...they are subligars...And the very..erm...skimpy...armor that was released shortly before 1.0 shutdown.

Also I hope we get some kind of "cosmetic" tab in our armor tab.

Well, the full meaning of FATE is called " Full Active Time Event"

Going off my imagination of what FATE means: "Full"- Meaning large party and "Active Time Event", meaning At some point in time a Huge monster is going to pop, and cause havoc somewhere randomly in a certain zone. An alarm of some sort will pop up saying something along the lines of, " ALERT! A HUGE MONSTER IN (insert area here) IS ATTACKING!" and you (without a party since you can fight and get rewards for just trying to kill it outside a party) goes to designated location and attempts to kill the monster.

That's my interpretation of the the word "FATE".

yah same as open world events in GW2. Most of them were not worth doing, you only do it if there was nothing else to do at the time. That being said there were some EXTREMELY RARE items that you COULD get (so rare that no one in all the servers has one at the time of this posting and there are several threads on their official forums asking if its a bug with developers saying its not bugged its just super super super rare) which could make it worth while to do it, but not worth going out of your way to do it.

Well, some aspects of ARR are coming from GW2, but they are just adding a FF twist to it. It's a nice concept if done properly, I have to wait till beta starts to actually say anything about it. ( Only in the Beta Forums mind you because I do respect the NDA lol).
