The growing entitlement issues of the casuals

All of this crap needs to stop. There are not "hardcore" players and there no "casual" players. There are only players. What separates us is the amount of time that we put into the game. "I have more time to waste on a video game. I'm so hardcore!" No, you just have more time to waste. "I have a life so I guess I'm casual." No, you just have a very busy life. This the only separation and it's not even a big separation. All of this mindless fighting, from both sides, needs to stop. It's horrible...

some of us have tried to get this point across but people dont wanna listen


all that matters is how much time you have to play, if you dont got time to play, then dont punish those who do basicaly by trying to make everything quicker/easier to cope with your time deficiency.

wrong again... theved just walk away... all your doing is spouting lies. I read this thread in it entierty and NOTHING as to what you suggested is going on. its just a game stop worrying about what the "casual" as you claim are doing.

why dont you drop it for a change, you got 2k posts ARGUING with everyone on everything you can find, and this is an issue in which half the posts in the thread are yours, i find that kinda funny

my point is valid, you just dont want to look at anyones opinions but your own cuz you know everything and everyone else is always wrong

Neither side should suffer. All players should have access to everything, but nothing should be handed to anyone. For example, in FFXI, everyone could get Sky access, but I still know a few who did not have it because they didn't want to put the time in the quests to actually get it. The same goes for Dream Dyna and Sea. Everyone should have access. Now, as far as day-pop NMs go, that is something that should not be here because not everyone would have access to it, due to time constraints. NO ONE should be punished by a game due to their real life activities.

yeah, everyone does have access to everything, i dont think theres a game out there that really punishes anyone for the time they play, its all about how much time you can put into getting it.
If it takes 50 hours to get from point A to point B, it takes 50 hours, you can either play 3 days straight to get there, or play an hour a day for 50 days to get there.
The problem is alot of these self proclaimed casuals will tell you that it isnt fair that they cant access it as fast as someone else can. the content isnt accessible to them if they cant have it at the same level as someone else can(usualy because theres a quest or something on the side needed to do to access it)
if leveling itself is the big time sink to get there, then thats another issue altogether, but even then its all a matter of how long it takes you to level to get there.

The Nm thing you mention, yeah now THAT was annoying, i play alot, anyone who knows me knows this, i play more then even some of your worst addicts do, and even i thought the 24-36 hour spawns were rediculous. that is where i draw the line on activities.
a time sink to gain access to something is one thing
something which forces you to sit around for hours at a time waiting for it to happen is something entirely different, especialy when it involves massive competing to do so.
