yeah... but ARR page has 70k likes...It seems like every single person on FFXIV facebook page is excited for this game!
http://www.facebook.com/FinalFantasyXIV?fref=ts
TESO announced later, and without showing anything, has more than 1M likes...
(GW2 has a bit less than 900k likes.. and it's already commercial success... )
Sadly the "Final Fantasy" name is really damaged judging these numbers :/
So where can we sign up to get our hands on any of the set design stuff you used for the show?! Because if your just going to throw any of it away when your done, I will pay you all to send it to me instead.
Seriously
That's because of the first FFXIV game. alot of people are " Afraid" to put money where it "may" be waisted. the people that are here can see the changes and actually follow the New Beginning of FFXIV. The others will come as Reviews, Vlogs etc. Just seeing the people on facebook getting excited for potentially the most historical MMO to fail once but came back from the ashes and shows the world ( we never gave up, Now Enjoy our awesome game we made for you!)yeah... but ARR page has 70k likes...

It may also be because of many people are not knowing ARR is coming out. I mean someone who stopped playing 1.0 before mention of ARR or someone waiting for the ps3 version of ff14 probably doesn't know about any of this. Now that they are speaking to media, it should get more likes since more people would know that ARR is coming out. Given all the info release by reps over the passes couple of months it shouldn't be too hard for anyone interested in ARR to decide whether they should try the beta or not.That's because of the first FFXIV game. alot of people are " Afraid" to put money where it "may" be waisted. the people that are here can see the changes and actually follow the New Beginning of FFXIV. But gaining back ppl's trust will be harder than remaking the game itself imho :S
Of course they have to do a never seen marketing campaign when we'll get closer the launch date!

Dragonheart... your sig freaks me out every time I see it.
These were USBs submitted to the press with FFXIV stuff in them. I soooo want one ; ;
The Elder Scrolls franchise has momentum with its 10M copies sold Skyrim. Maybe not in the MMO world and to hardcore-experienced gamers but they have a huge edge when it comes to the "wider audience" target. That alone is a big marketing advantage.

Exactly, Skyrim did what FF "offline" didn't in this gen.. So TESO MMO will have an huge marketing advantage... :/
Star Wars the Old Republic had a similar if not higher number of likes on Facebook. It didn't translate into a successful subscription based MMO.
