Cowl body armor Alternate, please

I realize that this is kinda dumb to be posting since most people would think its of little to no importance but i really wish they would add an alternate version of the cowl body armors.
Im a hardcore mage and i really feel like mage armors are always basic and plain, there always a shaggy looking robe with a big hat. i like the robe armor but i like being able to see my face more.
it would be awesome if they were to make that /display head off macro to just remove the hood on a cowl, like put the hood down off there head. that shouldnt be too hard to do. all im really saying is, i wish they had a cowl with the hood down, not just removed like the other ones. but also expanding on how mages always have very plain armor and i think they should be given love too.
oh and this is alittle random but i dont want to start a post for it, see i have the human with the hair originally behind his ears but the alternate versions have the hair to the sides also, but ive been pretty upset since i saw this that when you put on something as simple as a hat, the hair on the sides disappears and it goes back to looking like its behind there ears. and im sure there are other hair styles out there that get changed for equipping armor that you think should change. could somebody just fix that, if i wanted the first hair option i would have chosen that one but i liked the alternate and i would prefer if it wouldnt change like that if it didnt need too. it should just be like the miqo te hair thats always to the side even when there wearing a hat.
anyway, i know its random but i needed to say it. im interested to hear what you guys think or if im the only one who feels this way or noticed this

/display head off should work with cowls... but it dont. if they change that I will be happy.

When I saw that it was being introduced, I was hoping that /display head off would work with cowls, too. I really like the way they look but like to see my characters hairstyle sometimes.

And while we're at it, how about making it so my character doesn't become bald when the cowl hood is on? The lack of visible hair while wearing cowls is kind of odd IMHO.

Mage gear is ewww and I refuse to be anything else than a mage lol. I'm a mage for life, how do you expect us mages to be content with the gear we have when it all is TOO basic. I mean no one gear is cool at low levels, but around rank 35 dd's and tanks get way cooler looking gear than mages

Well there's definitely cool mage gear in the works.
Except the thing about the face well...darkness kindof envelops the face when you wear it and your eyes glow yellow.

Exactly! i mean, in FFXI the most different looking one was the igqira weskit, and maybe the WHM artifact armor. and its usually like that. everyone else gets chain mails and plate mails and cool helmets and stuff but what about us mages? i think a little variation is all we ask, not just some color changes. oh and not to be bald while wearing a cowl lol

i gotta admit, that sounds cool, and i like the pictures when i saw the sketches. i just wish there was more, like a long robe that drags on the floor, or a huge hood that doesnt completely surround your head but lets you see your characters face and hair, some cool symbols on the robes, maybe even glowing at much higher ranks. an open swaying robe, ones with huge sleeve openings, you know, stuff like that.

I agree ivera, more variety for mage armor would be much appreciated. Even something as simple as allowing us to wear our cowls with hoods down. <-- Though this might not be as easy as it sounds, as they'd have to model new cowls with hoods down and such. But either way, new mage armor would be awesome

Ooohh I forgot something! *when* SE adds new mage armor, I can't help but feeling that it will be able to be used by both thm's and conjurers..Sometime I would like to see some separate armor for the two mage classes. Going off of ivera's idea, like maybe having dramatic hooded robes with pretty stitiching for Thm's, and cool tattoos and hats for conjurers?

Just another thought. But for now a simple change like seeing the person's hair with a hat/hood on would be nice..
