    I wonder if their registration servers will crash like in the 1.0 beta and you kept timing out and couldn't register your code once the emails will go out. SE account systems seems to can't handle so many people signing up at once.

    you may be right, but FF7 is steampunk. FFXIV seems more like FFIX to me, as for the scenario.
    not fully.. because you also have magiteks. but the shinra mansion was part of the mainstory. i cant imagine succubus to fit in the ffxiv storyline.

    but well lets end this i am going to test it out so or so..
    FFXIV reminds me most of FFVI. Remember Zozo, or Owzer's mansion? If VI were in HD, I'm sure the dungeon-in-a-painting would look a bit like this new instance.
