I don't get it. Despite my best intentions I played the hell out of 1.0. I would think I'm in that tier that would be excited about any significant news related to the game. And I am. But I don't care if this begins on the 15th, 25th, or next month. It's the first stage of beta, not the release of ARR -and even if it was, how does the exactness of the date affect my life? Or yours?
Oh yes, August 16th would be soo much better than August 30th. Never mind the fact that the first iteration came out nearly three years ago. We can wait three years for a better product, but not a week more!
It's a funny paradox how the general public is so fanatical and passionate about something, but then the tone changes to a far more casual one after the game (or the patch, whatever) is released.
Well I think that is mostly because after a release people are playing it and not posting on the forums waiting for it.
